In today’s teaching on Romans 10:5-13, I briefly referenced John Piper’s explanation as to why the story of Israel is still relevant to our story today. Piper said “Israel is the historical microcosm of the world’s conscience – your conscience. Israel is the historical theater where the drama of every human soul is played out for all to see.”

If you are unfamiliar with Piper, and would like to read more consider picking up his short book Don’t Waste Your Life.
