ELDER RECOGNITION | paul gordon // January 14, 2010

Posted by Phil Taylor executive pastor

This Sunday (January 17th), Paul Gordon will be officially recognized as an elder/pastor at Terra Nova, specifically with the title of “Stewardship Pastor”. Paul and Nicole found Terra Nova through Theology At The Taproom in terra’s first year of existence. Soon, they were attending services regularly, joining in community through a New Tribe and serving on the Backline Set-Up Team. Later Paul joined the finance team and began taking on more responsibility, ultimately taking over all aspects of the financial side of Terra Nova. Almost two years ago, Paul expressed a calling to role of elder and asked the pastors to consider this. After much testing and proving of character, doctrinal belief, scriptural knowledge, and spiritual integrity, Paul’s calling will be officially recognized this sunday at each service. We as pastors have gotten to know Paul very well throughout his eldership process and are excited to welcome him onto the team.

It should be noted that Paul is not paid a dime by Terra and continues to work in corporate finance at First Niagara Bank. We could not be more thankful both for his financial acumen and his pastoral wisdom. This sunday, be sure to shake Paul’s hand, give him a hug and thank he and nicole for the way they serve the mission of Terra Nova.
