This past weekend a group of local artists re-opened St. Joseph’s Cathedral at 38 Ten Broeck Street in Albany, (just a block up Clinton from the Palace Theater), to have a unique art show. Because of the huge indoor space much of the work was installation work with other 2-D art work displayed in a more traditional way on walls around the Sanctuary. Though the space was chilly the event was well attended getting a diverse crowd from people who have always wanted to get in the church and see the building to those who are regulars on the art scene. Each night there was a different theme of music, Friday was folk and accoustic, Saturday hip hop, and Sunday a jazz band came in and light up the space, as well as each day different local businesses donated food and beverages. Overall the whole event was a success, so the many months of planning and late nights of working and event sleeping in the churh paid off.  For more information and pictures check out the website www.fluxevent.com as well as the Facebook page ***FLUX*** A Three Day Music & Art Gathering.
