Last night nearly 300 people packed out three services in the big back room of our gallery building at 409 River Street. Additionally, dozens more watched online via the Terra Nova Channel on ustream.tv. We set this up a couple months ago thinking it might come in handy for something down the road. At the last minute (thursday morning) we realized that this would be a perfect way to include a terra member who is stuck in the hospital after a terrible car accident. So we pulled together video and audio feeds, sent it through a laptop and on to the internet. As long as we were doing this for one, we decided to do it for others as well. So we sent the link off to those terra members that have moved off to different parts of the country and other friends that we thought might be interested. It was great to hear from people all over the country saying that they were tuning in for Good Friday, despite the fact that it was a subpar, small image.
We are going to try this again tomorrow morning on Easter and we hope that if you are too far away to make it out revolution hall on sunday at 10AM or 12NOON, that you might be able to log in below and join us online. Just click on the big TV below and hit play between 10AM and 1:30PM to catch one of the services. We’ll probably just leave the link on air. If you join the chatroom, you’ll be able to interact with others who are watching.
For those who might be concerned that people might choose to stay home instead of going to church and being with others on Easter . . . trust me, after 2 minutes of watching, you’ll realize that the quality of the broadcast will take care of that worry.
