It’s snowing on sunday morning for the first real time this season and people always wonder what that means for church at Terra Nova. In general, we try not to cancel church for snow unless it’s really bad. We cancelled once last year because the ice was supposed to be extremely bad. Of course, by the time 11AM rolled around it was not too bad. However, due to the nature of meeting a rented space, we have to make that call by about 6AM as the first members of the set up teams begin to arrive at 6:30AM. But in general, we err on the side of not cancelling church. We understand that because Terra Nova draws from a wide variety of places throughout the capital region that the weather may be very bad where you live and you may need to skip church for that reason, even though the weather is not bad in the Troy area.

We announce any closings right here on the blog. We have tried unsuccessfully to get listed on the TV scroller, we’ll keep trying. But for now–the blog is the place to check.

But for today–it’s snowing in Troy and the city looks amazing. What a great day for the Victorian Stroll.
