If you have not already heard, Terra Nova is getting a brand new website that is a huge improvement over the current site which started out great, but has been retrofitted so many times that it has become a mess.

We could have spent 10′s of thousands of dollars on a new site (plenty of people do). We were prepared to spend some money on a site. Instead, God provided a way for us to get an amazing new site for free through a national program called CreateAThon and a local company here in the Capital Region.

Kevin Richardson attends Terra Nova with his wife Jen and is one of the graphics guys at OVERIT MEDIA. He suggested that we apply to be this years CreateAThon project, and we were chosen! So Kevin began working with us on the design ahead of time so that during the actual CreateAThon night, things could go a little more quickly.

So, after months of planning, here we are on September 18th, and the team at Overit Media is about to descend on our website and build something we probably could not afford to do on our own. They will begin work at 5PM and work through the night and into the Friday work day. I’ll be dropping off cases of Red Bull and other things to help them get through the night.

By Friday afternoon, Terra Nova will have a new website. Between now and the end of the month, we’ll tweak the text, and other pieces of the site with the idea it will go live on October 1st.

I can’t wait for the new site to launch. The navigation will be better. It will have more features, more content, more everything!

So keep this team in prayer throughout the night. We can’t thank them enough.

Here’s a link to an article about this project. It mentions Terra Nova briefly.
