You may or may not know that Terra Nova is connected with a church planting network called Acts 29. It is based out of Seattle, Washington at Mars Hill Church. We love being in this network and feel like when we get together with other pastors in this group, we really understand each other. Terra Nova has the privelege of serving the network as the regional hub church, and Ed has the privelege of serving as the Lead guy for the northeast region. Part of what this means is that we host regional gatherings for northeast church planters. Last fall, we hosted a national bootcamp with about 150 in attendance, today, we hosted a regional gathering with about 35 guys from around the northeast. We love being a part of connecting pastors in the network together. We love seeing the friendships develop. We love seeing guys use the break times, and the meal times during the day to bounce ideas, problems, and issues off of each other.
I think at the of the day, those 35 guys walked away feeling encouraged and ready to keep pushing forward at thier respective churches and perhaps a little more prepared.
If Terra Nova is your home, then you are a part of this in a way since it is your pastors who are planning and hosting these regional events. In that sense, you are impacting the church planting landscape in the entire northeast.
Thanks!
