we may have ruined the planet. I know the rush limbaugh listeners are thinking “not that global warming mush,” but it is really not political. After all, i am a pretty conservative, second amendment kind of libertarian. It should not really come as a surprise either. Think about how much sin has messed up your life. Now think about how sin effects a family. The permutations of “dysfunctional”- the pysch du jour term for sin screwed up – family are enormous. It is hard to chart what a bad marriage does to spouses, what that does to children, their children, communities. Extend sinfulness into the global scene. Give all those screwed up sinners a world and would you expect eden? That is like really having expected New York would be the New Jerusalem.
So we have a potential problem that may have been spoken of centuries before in the bible’s prophecies on the poop finally hitting the fan. Environmental failure is part of the book of revelation, the general list of all the bad stuff of the bible in one book.
If you want to see the trailer, go to Roman Jacquez’s webpage Roman is part of terra (along with the futura senora Jacquez, Stephanie) and is a film maker (btw, i loved his work shown @ church today)
When you (or if you- AND NO I AM NOT DEMANDING EVERYONE SEE IT…unless you need to vent over something with blograge, then go for it) see, I recommend the Spectrum Theatre, the best theatre in the area, complete with cake made from Debbie’s Kitchen @ the concession stand. There is a new Cafe next door too. My friends gave me a gift certificate to it, but i have not used it…but i have not lost it either.

it’s only blograge when you’re seething ed, it’s discussion and dissent when offered without malice or one-upmanship. check out this article. looking at the problems we are having with climate changes and bigger storms can tend to distract us from what we are here for. the world is in a state of decay and has been since the fall. of course our sin has caused this. i’m just not so sure that the guy who opened the dirty factory in indonesia is any more at fault than the carrot loving bike riding greenpeace activist from seattle whose pride keeps him from God. it’s all sin and it’s why all of the decay. as for global warming, 10 years from now it is likely to have reversed. unless we are the fortunate ones to see His return. maranatha!
