Last night felt like we had settled in. There was a comfort to it that is hard to explain. I love to look around 40 minutes before the service and see so many people busy doing their thing. Then, at 5:00, as I walk out from the prayer room and step into the sanctuary, I see the result of all their work. Candles and incense lit, music playing in the background, communion elements layed out, chairs set up and filled, kids taken care of, guide pages being handed out, film loop playing, etc. etc.
There are so many people that make Terra what it is. Like a bad Grammy’s speech, if I tried to thank everyone at once, I would forget someone and get nasty blog comments (although, at least I would get comments from someone other than my pastoral counterparts….Does anybody actually read these things…?). Let me just say I am so thankful for everyone that is involved. Terra will never be a “Paid staff does it all†church. We can’t do it without you.

(I think I’m the only person who reads your blogs… or, maybe I’m the only one who responds.)
i read them, i just don’t respond….uh, i guess that is until now.
sunday was incredible. i really enjoyed being a part of such a fresh, new and organic worship experience.
oh and by the way…sherwin williams #6345 interactive cream (flat) should be taken off the market.
I read them too. I also felt that Sunday melded well. Hopefully we will get others who sense a need to respond to help out in other areas as well. Whats interactive cream? Does it talk back? Clansman
Speaking of Sherwin Williams, wait till you see the 409 River Street Terra Nova Headquarters. They are painting it now and then carpet. It’s gonna look great. Color scheme is mustard, rust, and olive…now we need some artwork for the walls…..
maybe you could turn the tn offices into a gallery. that would get the troy arts scene introduced into your world properly…
yep, that’s the plan….
