no photogs [except womer's mom- God bless moms]…but it was still a great night to gather, worship and share community.

The ‘behind the scenes’ moment for me was communion with the worship band. I realized last week a the learning curve we would expect. After all, upgradeable is a terra value. We are sort used to it. We live in a version next.0 world. The 1.0 yields to the 2.0. It is a time of liquid, real time transitions.

Last week @ terra was tough come communion time. Not in the set up or planning. That was all amazing. Jen McClaine [know her yet?] had organized people to be up front, materials, etc. Yes, we made we mentioned that people had more time this week [two songs...come as you are ready to enter communion], but it was tough to serve the worship team. I could not leave a little communion cup; we don’t have them. Dipping and dropping wine soaked matza on Apiccelli’s snare might not be greeted warmly. I realize that serving @ events causes that. I thought of Christ and the disciples @ the feeding of the 5k. It was not until after that the apostles ate the remaining 12 baskets of food. So we chose before hand. We celebrated Christ at the center, broke bread, and headed out eagerly to serve our community.

In the service I was amazed as ever with the slides [well done andre]. Btw, graphic artists are welcome to contact scott and i if you would like to use your art to commicate the worship and word visually. The visual, words, and music make a difference for me. My heart was ‘entering in’ as Scott likes to say. As we concluded, and i was listening to Phil, i realized…we really need a whole community. Sure the differing gifts of the pastors [scott with worship, ed with teaching and phil with, well everything else! (we call him the 'real' pastor)], but that is just an obvious, up front, reflection. The people who inspired and are hosting dinners, the children’s programs/care being created, stocked, and staffed, the sound and tech team…and we go deeper still. I love that a room full of ‘monks @ the monastery’ doing all the Jesus worship, learning and one anothering, can head out to be missionaries. It is beautiful and world changing. [ for a great book that affirmed, deepened and challenged me on this read The Celtic Way of Evangelism by George Hunter].

Well, i need to get to the Daily Grind aka Terra HQ in Troy.

next week is the actions of Jesus. I still feel like separating the actions and words is a bit like separating the yoke and whites of a well scrambled egg…so pray for me, read Luke, and be with Jesus.
